Executive References was founded by Lee Pomeroy in 2000. His experience includes thirteen years at Egon Zehnder International in New York, one of the world’s largest executive search/consulting firms, where he attained Partnership and also headed the research function in New York.
At Zehnder he handled senior level search assignments for both domestic and international positions across a broad array of industries with substantial annual compensation packages. Lee led numerous special projects for clients beyond the traditional search spectrum, including confidential assessments of management competencies and accomplishments for potential investors/acquirers.
Before joining Zehnder, Lee worked for eight years at Chemical Bank as Managing Director and Chief of Staff for Chemical Bank’s Electronic Banking products company. He has been Executive Director of Chi Psi National Office, an educational foundation and holds an A.B. Degree in Philosophy from Amherst College and an MBA in finance from the University of Michigan.
Vice President, Anna Plaza has worked at Executive References for five years. In addition to consulting on references, she is responsible for marketing and operations.
Prior to joining the family business, Anna was a recruiter. She earned her B.A. from Manhattanville College.
Managing Director, Paul Sullivan joined Executive References in 2004. Paul has a wealth of senior staffing experience gained at Manchester Partners, Pitney Bowes, PepsiCo and Macmillan. His expertise helped grow these companies to internationally-known brands, in part by implementing the practice of MBA recruiting.
Paul helped found the International Association of Corporate and Professional Recruiters (IACPR) and the Executive Search Information Exchange (ESIX). He is dedicated to identifying and bringing on board top management that can both create positive change and drive business results.
Director of Research, Kim Buchanan joined Executive References in 2006. Kim has over 30 years of experience in research working for some of the largest executive search and consulting firms including Egon Zehnder International, Heidrick & Struggles and Korn Ferry International. She earned an MLS from Pratt Institute and a B.A. from The New School.
Christina has a Masters Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from CUNY School of Professional Studies. Prior to joining Executive References LLC, she worked as a Human Resources Business Partner, assisting Managers and Executives with various HR issues including recruitment, employee relations and contract negotiations.
