Background

Executive References was founded by Lee Pomeroy. His experience includes thirteen years at Egon Zehnder International in New York, one of the world’s largest executive search/consulting firms, where he attained Partnership and also headed the research function.

At Zehnder he handled senior level search assignments for both domestic and international positions across a broad array of industries with annual compensation packages ranging to $4MM. Lee led numerous special projects for clients beyond the traditional search spectrum, including confidential assessments of management competencies and accomplishments for potential investors/acquirers.

Before joining Zehnder, Lee worked for eight years at Chemical Bank as Managing Director and Chief of Staff for Chemical Bank’s Electronic Banking products company.  He has been Executive Director of Chi Psi National Office, an educational foundation and holds an A.B. Degree in Philosophy from Amherst College and an MBA in finance from the University of Michigan.

Managing Director Paul Sullivan joined Executive References in 2004. Paul brings a wealth of senior staffing experience gained at Manchester Partners, Pitney Bowes, PepsiCo and Macmillan. His expertise helped grow these companies to internationally-known brands, in part by implementing the practice of MBA recruiting.

Paul helped found the International Association of Corporate and Professional  Recruiters (IACPR) and the Executive Search Information Exchange (ESIX). He is dedicated to identifying and bringing on board top management that can both create positive change and drive business results.
